Construction

Using just wood and metal (no welding!), the cafe chair can be put together, and pulled apart.
Wood pieces interlock, while the wire tensions the wood to lock them solidly in place.
Extra metal clips give the backrest extra support, to avoid bending or breaking.

Wood Pieces

The Plywood was cut using a CNC waterjet system.
This achieved tight cuts and corners, perfect for my tabbed compnents.
Plywood was sanded before finishing.

Wire Forming

Wire was formed in Workshop using a vice.
No welding was required in my design as i decided to emphasise 'material synergy' within my cafe chair design.
